Painted the insides of the tips black. Here are some pics. Thoughts?

Ok, so the tip install job isn't perfect, and my car is absolutely filthy because I haven't had time to do a full detail lately, but I did spend $20 and 15 minutes at the local ma and pa exhaust shop and had them weld on the 6LE split-CME tips that have been taunting me in their box for weeks. I'm going to take it to a more professional exhaust shop to have them fab up something nicer looking as far as piping and alignment.
Thinking of painting the insides black rather than waiting for the carbon to build up. Thoughts?

i think its the formula bumper that makes it look not quite right. and yes i would paint the inside black because it looks odd the way it is. if you like them then keep rollin' but its just not my taste for a firebird/formula/ta etc.

These tips are too wide to fit in a TA bumper (we've checked). I want to find a W68 rear lip kit to see if they fit inside, cause then it would look ****. IMO these are nicer looking than dual duals or any smaller oval tips. Formula bumpers are hard to match up tips to because they don't really curve down to encompass the tips like TA bumpers do. In that way, Formula bumpers are a lot more like Camaro bumpers. The only things I've seen on people's Formy's are the large Magnaflow/Flowmaster bullet tips, or some form of dual duals (which I don't like). I don't mind the large bullet Magnaflow/Flowmaster ones but I see 'em everywhere.

Not really feeling them. The 6LE tips always looked a little cheap to me even though they are pretty pricey. I'd sell them and get a pair of 3.5" corsa clones on ebay for about $90 shipped

But, you did buy corsa Clones on ebay for about $90 shipped. So, sell your Corsa Clones and use dumps. It would look better. Plus, you'd be making money. Financially and aesthetically responsible! I got these tips at a hefty discount due to a mis-order on somebody else's part, so it was actually cheaper than buying brand new tips through Magnaflow.

I dunno they just look awkward to me. Just seeing the inlet is strange looking to me.
I like my quad tipped Magnaflow on my Formula. They are a bit big but look far better than the regular tips that come with the Magnaflow.

yup after that photoshop I think they look real good but only if the inside is painted black. they really look better like that (the inside painted) and it takes away the awkwardness of the bumper.
