Default Autometer Temp Guage

I have a 2" Autometer Ttemp guage installed on my '2000 SS, and I cant find where to install the sender to make the guage to work. Ive looked on the block and heads and just cant find where to install it. Has anyone installed an electric temp guage on their LS1? Any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA
