I beleive there is a TSB on it.
Many people do it themselves with aftermarket parts. Autoaone sells a motor with a lifetime warrantee.

F-Body Power Windows Is anyone having problems with their power windows on a F Body? My passenger side window is acting weird as ****. The window will roll down then stop. Or will roll up and stop. Then if you give it some time it will roll up a little more and a little more. It's acting like there is a short in the motor or something. Just curious if anyone has had this problem.

Re: F-Body Power Windows The window motors have a built in "Auto-Reset" circuit breaker that will trip when the current draw exceeds the breaker rating. F-bodies are notorious for the window's guides getting jammed up from loss of lubrication and wear. Looks like you'll have to take the door panel off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> , clean the guide channels and re-lube the assembly. <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> You might find a worn out guide roller that's causing the whole mess!

Re: F-Body Power Windows Try taking the door panel off first, and just jiggle the window switch connector. My passenger side window would go down, then stop. And, was just acting strange. However, it was only the drivers side switch that would make it do this, so it was pretty easy to figure out.
If it does it with the switches on both sides, good luck.

Re: F-Body Power Windows I used to replace these motors years ago when I an auto-glass mechanic.
90% of door motors just need a good 3-4 smacks with a hammer to loosen the corrosion that builds up in the motor. Then spray the hell out of it with WD-40 or any corrosion protector. You can re-lube it to.

Re: F-Body Power Windows I don't know if anyone has noticed, But GM has always had problems with the electrical ****. Past radios, power locks and windows definately. It's all due to GM squeezing their suppliers down to where they finally say, yeah we'll give you a product that will last 36,000 miles and **** out at 37,000. In many cases it doesnt even meet that. Hopefully GM will have to retaliate to dodges 7 year 100,000 warranty. Then they will have to but in higher quality products. But even still, I'd take a GM over a Ford or Dodge anyday.
