I cant put my gfx back on, the passenger side got messed up when my AAA guy jacked it up wrong. The side splitters were a better and cheaper replacement, but I would've never got them if I still had my gfx. I plan on getting back to autocrossing so I had to get this, every little bit helps.
I was worried about stepping on the side splitters when I get out of the car but its fine, I have it tucked in all the way to the pinch welds. I haven't tested the splitters out yet, but I will tomorrow when I take the highway to the movies.

We've tested the front splitters on top speed runs in vegas. They have shown improved down force over the whole car.

The side splitters were more for looks and something to attach canards to, regardless, they have not been tested...

I guess the Hennessey Camaro with its "ZR1" styling would make you angry as well...

IMO, it's just not right. Looks out of place to me. But that's all I'll say & keep it pleasant.

It's your car, you do what you want with it.
Don't get mad when Honda-boy laughs at your 'ZR1 wanna-be'.
Crap, there I go again, ..., why can't I just shut the hell up, ...
Sorry, my apologies now.
Is everyone really so car illiterate that they think this mod started with ZR1s?!

I've been toying with rear splitters (and reverse canards, basically mudflaps) but just think it makes the appearance way too bottom heavy...

It doesn't make me angry...but I don't like the hood of a ZR1 (reminds me of "Greased Lightning" in Grease), and I still don't like it on a Camaro. And the Camaro's body kit looks a little, um, importish. Although...with an LS9 not too many people can catch you to tell you it doesn't look so good. I'm sure the *** end looks ok, which is what most people will be seeing anyway.

I really didn't like the side splitter design when my guy first cut it. I had make the lines off of a shadow the cars cast on the ground (just like the front splitters, the side splitters take their curves from the car's beltline, not bottom line).

Then when it was actually on the car, in the right spot, it blends in so well you don't see it until you look for it in person. So I went forward with them...

Is is definitely a love it or hate it mod though hands down...

Thanks for ruining the ZR1 for me Now that you say that, all I can think of is hearing that song when I see the cars

they might look cool but im def a function over form guy and lets face it even body kits made by legit companys dont wind tunnel test them and the few that do find how nominal the overall pros are unless you happen to be taking corners at 90 mph.

-says the guy with a shaker scoop on a transverse V8(does keep the tranny 10*cooler though)

Here they are anyways...

Working General Hospital tomorrow and have to try to get out to Sun Valley to pic stuff up for Invasion... I'll try to get pics before the sun goes down but no promises.

+1! I remember a few years back if you had a camaro/bird with ground effects, everyone hated you for it. Now these splitters seems to be the rage and everyone wants it. Oh well.

6LITEREATER please dont take this to the heart. I think you do awesome work, and you have talent, but I dont want you to feel my comment is against you.

The side splitters don't really look anything like the ones on the ZR1 or Hennesy Camaro. The "splitters" on those cars are look much more three-demensional, almost like a body kit.

I like the idea but I think it's something that should be made with like fiberglass or urethane, not flat plastic.

Mark,

Could you please post up the official results of that test showing data from before and after installation?

Since you say "over the whole car", please show the data broke down from the front to the rear so we can all see what the improvements are in relation to our weight split.

Also curious as to what equipment was used to actually measure this down force? (I.e., brand, how it is setup, calibration info, etc.)

I think this info would answer a lot of questions arising from your initial claims of this product actually working as well as this claim that it was in fact tested.

It is very important for sponsors to not misrepresent their products to our members, so please substantiate these claims with real data for the sake of everyone.

I'm with Brian, the front splitter looks "ok" but the rest of the stuff looks out of place.
