Stainless emblelms on back
Stainless emblems on back Just installed the polished stainless emblems on my Z28 and found a couple of days later the one on the back began to peel up around the "8." Emblem was stiff and the surface was properly cleaned. Had to peel off and do all over again except this time having to remove the tape from the emblem which is a pia. Was hard to do this and not leave any fine scratches on the front. Got everything clean and reapplied the 3M tape. The point is, bend your emblem to conform to the curve under the taillight. I just assumed the tape was strong enough to hold but the tension and stiffness was too strong.
