Cowl Edge Stripes...
Firstly I'm curious as to how this started, is it like the berger panel, something that was on older camaros or was it invented on the 4th gen?
Also, I'd like to see pics of any year Camaro 93-02 with this done, preferably a closer pic shot from the side and also on an lt1 , I'd like to do it on my hood
pic for reference in case you don't know what I mean:

i think it's just a 4th gen thing, particularly on the dick harrell cars. the yenko camaros had 2 stripes on the cowl but they were on top so i dunno if u wanna count that as the starting point. if you want to see more pics just type "dick harrell camaro" in google or go to the dick harrell website or gmmg website
thanks, I think I'll go all the way to the end of the cowl, myself. Once I get pics, I'll post my hood in it's mismatched white gelcoat glory. It's a 2.5" traditional style cowl (sharp/square).

I'm doing something a little different but no finished pictures yet. I was going to do the same like the dick harrel camaro but i think it will go better this way with the rest of the car.
well i haven't got the hood painted yet, should i go about getting the flat black stripes painted on the car when i get the whole hood painted or should i do vinyl, and if so, how would i go about making something like this?
i would do vinyl simply cuz if you do it and you dont like it as much as you thought you would you can remove it...painting the hood then your stuck unless you wanna pay again to have it repainted...i think "fourth circle designs" has stripes like what you want and their not expensive..lots of colors to choose from
that's not something that 4th gen camaros started. Years ago people started doing this on all the dragsters that had cowl hoods. Eventually they made there way to the 4th gens.
And as for vinyls, they only make them for the sunoco hood, there are lots of different hoods out there and I don't think it's one size fits all, even if they are both 2.5". And making your own, I'd imagine it'd be hard for an amateur. I work at a body shop and I wouldn't try.
