Default SLP SS Grille Installation

Did a search and didn't find too much on it. Ordered an SS SLP grille for my car, got the instructions from SLP there was only 2 pages and only one instruction and it was telling you how to take it off. Does anyone have the full instructions for the install? Is there any drilling required? I heard there was? I would rather not tape or drill I guess I was under the impression that it just fit in the stock location?

Additionally do I need to remove the front fascia like it says? Or can I just pull the thing out? It says you can use either method. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes your gonna have to drill to be able to put those fastener's that are provided with the new grille. I thought the same thing as you did, when i 1st bought my slp ss grille. The stock grille, just pull on it and it'll pop right out. Then put on the slp ss grille, getta marker and mark the spots. Then drill your holes and put the grille on and slide the fasteners right in. Make sure you get the holes drilled in about the same size as the fasteners. Otherwise, its gonna be a bitch to push those ******* in.

Yeah it isn't too hard at all. Just hold it in place and mark the holes. I got mine used and it didn't come with hardware. I used black zip ties for a few days and just went to autozone and got a pack of random fasteners and they worked fine.

I used 3M double sided tape. It is nice and snug. I didn't want to drill holes.......

I just put the tape on the backside of the grille in the middle section

I drilled holes in my bumper. Like everyone else said, hold it in place and drill.

Its scary to drill into your car... But once you put a slp grille on (bowtie or SS version) you will never take it back off to go to the ugly, stupid, horrible stock one. So like said above line it up mark and drill. Now with mine it came with like 8 fasteners i only used 4 maybe 6?? It's in very solid, so dont feel like you need to use all the fasteners they supply.

So you drill through the front of the SLP grille?

They have pre-made holes where the fasteners will go once you drill the hole in your car.
