Default Steelies on a 4th gen.

I recently picked up a set of steelies and all-season tires for winter use and would like to see what they look like on 4th gens. I'm not too worried about how it will look, but am curious.

For the winter I use cheap steel wheels with Blizzak WS-50 winter tires. Blizzak stopped making the WS-50. They now have the WS-60 to replace it. It is slightly different with a higher speed rating. I don't know how it compares.

Here are a couple cell phone pics from this past winter.

Nice pics. Like to keep the stealth look. I already have some A/S tires, but I don't know the speed rating... it's going to suck on the nice days when you want to punch it but are scared you might lose a bead or something.

I remember seeing a member on this forum post pics of his WS6. He lives in Alaska and just really wanted a WS6 so he bought one, bought some steelies and studded tires and daily drove it. It was about as dirty as the TA above. The way I look at it is good for him. He didn't go out and buy a new FWD or AWD boring sedan or coupe, and paid for a car he'll really enjoy. That's what I did. And hey, if it gets snowed on a couple times, I'll spend more time cleaning it up afterwords. I'll go through the pain of getting it dirty so that I can live through the joy of driving it every day.

Its fun in the snow.

I've had it since new. Its a 2001 Formula and its actually a rare car too. I bought it to enjoy all year around, not for an investment or occasional toy.

In the winter, it looks filthy. In the summer, it looks nice (except for heavy pollen days).

Damn black cars.

I washed mine this afternoon to take to a couple shows then I leave the second one early to beat the expected rain... and what do you know... the expected rain comes 30 minutes earlier than expected!
