Default Tire pressure question...275/40/17

What PSI are you guys running in yours? I have the 275/40/17 Kumho 712's...says max 44, so I figure between 38-40 PSI?

I have a 2001 Camaro w/ 52000 miles on my factory stock tires...yes sir, SAME tires I bought the car with in Oct 2000....Since the begining i've ran them at 30 psi cold...but noticed the fronts wear WAY FASTER then the rears...i've had them rotated twice now. Now, the front tires, (used to be on the rear) still have more meat on them than the rears (used to be on the front). Im lookin to get new tires....just really dont want to get new tires w/o gettin rims too...dont have too much cash saved up right now...

Way too much pressure.

I would say max pressure should be 36 psi HOT! That would be around 32 - 33 psi cold.

I found with my car with the higher pressures the car seemed to wander the cracks of the pavement more.

I have to aggree that the manufacturer recommenrdation (GM) of 30 psi cold seems a little low.

I tried mine @ 30 cold. And it rides like a rock. The ride is so much better @ 27 cold. But I am sure it will wear them out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
