Polished Calipers!!
Well I finally got around to polishing the calipers on my 2002 Formula. I learned several things after doing it on my 2000 TA. I was able to get an awesome high shine on them. I wrote up the procedure I used on the page below.

Here's a few pictures:

Re: Polished Calipers!!
I wonder how the Trans Am caliper decals would look on those. I bet that would be pretty nice with the decals being a brushed metal. The subtle brushed silver against a polished background. Oooooohhh.
Just food for thought.

Re: Polished Calipers!!
Hey guys, I know the CRAGAR SS wheels on my 00 Camaro SS mite through u guys off. I honestly think the old ones are ugly too, HOWEVER, they have new style cragar ss wheels that look sooooo nice. There brand new, many do not know there out there, I'm the lucky few. Email me if you would like pictures of them, they are very very nice. Not the old look.

Re: Polished Calipers!!
They aren't a pain to keep clean, but obviously they do require more maintenance. I just make sure the wipe them down when I wash the car and dry them off to prevent water spots.
It took me about 2 hours for each front and an hour and a half for each rear.

Re: Polished Calipers!!
I don't see how clear coating them would make it any easier to maintain, you are still going to have to dry the water spots off of them and polish them every once in awhile. Just my .02

Re: Polished Calipers!!
As long as you have the wheels turned right, and the calipers as smooth as you could possibly polish them, the water spots should wipe right off with even glass cleaner... No problem. Mine still look like the day I polished them, I don't drive in the rain though.
