Default how to take off wipers?

hey guys.. i don't no if any one has thought about this, but does any one no how to take off the wipers on a 2001 WS6?? i think they just pull off.. but i don't wana f*^k with it cuz i'll proboly break somethin...just need some advice or no if there. I think the car will look more slick without wipers.. and plus i don't use em cuz i got wax on the window so water beeds off.

I agree, the car would probably look slicker and unique without them, like the rear window, however, I do not know how to take them off and do not advise it being a good idea. What wax do you use??? I know of some wax products where water does beed off, but dam, for you willing to take off your wipers, your wax must be amazing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

haha well its not the wax really.. u just gota drive a little faster then normal and the water comes off np.. it usually rains out here every week so im not the smartest person in the world.. but ya i would like to take them off for summer at least.. i like to be differnt and have new ideas

LIft off the hinges plastic cover at the base of the arm, remove nut and pull of the arm. A small battery terminal remover for the old post style batteries helps.

Ok now they aint comin off.. i pulled pretty dam hard.. what year is your car? maybe they change the way they made them?? hmm.. thats weird.. it shouldn't be that tight.. or should it?

They are on pretty tight, that is why I syggested using the battery post puller. I have never taken the wipers off my SS, but I remember from my older cars. It is amazing the forces on wiper arms, that is why they are so tight. I seriously doubt you can just pull them off with your bare hands, you could try prying but I would be extremely worried about cracking the windsheild.

Ya thats what im worried about to.. cuz the whole wiper motor underneither moves when i pull up on it.. ya i hope my glass woouldn't break <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

dam.. i baught a post remover today.. and guess what.... it broke!! those whippers are on there good!!.. i guess they aint goin no where.. hah

i used a 2 prong gear puller and a valve spring puller and a c clamp, don't ask how i used all of those at the same time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
it was a bitch but i finally got them off.

O sweet! glasd i aint the only one with this idea...ya u used a lota tools on that.. well im gona try to rig my own tool for it.. i'll update ya if it works. l8r
