Default Painting Calipers:

hey, what's a good paint to use to paint my calipers? I'd like to do it myself without going to powdercoating. Should I powdercoat, or is painting a good option? I'm sure I would need a hi-temp paint. What's one of the best on the market in your opinion?

Plasti-Coat is selling three or four colors designed specifically for painting calipers. There is red, blue, yellow and black. It is available at Pep Boys, usually in the "ricer" section, I hate to say. Buddy of mine used Red it went on great looks great and is one year old and holding up well.

I used Dupli Color 500 degree engine paint. On my Daily Driver I used red and it looked great, although I do not take very good care of the car and the calipers stained to virtually black.

On my SS, I use Dupli Color cast coat grey and it looks great! I take extremely good care of them and it looks as good as the day it was sprayed.

Dupli Color does make high temp clear coat. Found at most Auto Zones.
