went and sent out their aluminum intake to
get painted w/ silver paint. Idea being it
would look polished but be low maintenance.
I guess you could do that to the plastic
intake just as well, providing you can find
a primer that sticks.
They used some Mercedes silver paint code.
The only thing I don't like about the holley, is that raised area that says "holley", oh well

<strong>Just for the info, in my opinion, the Holley ls6 intake looks sweet <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> fully polished, really sets of a polished engine compartment. If I can find the pic i'll post it later on.

Andy</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">On a vette it would be the hot ticket since you can get to it all to keep it polished.. one a fbody it would be a royal PITA since you would have a VERY hard time getting the back of the manifold area to maintain the polish (yet you would be able to see it..) one option would be to polish and then clear it..
MARK IXZD 150 painted his silver (the composite LS6 type) and it came out VERY good..
As for the Holley logo on the aluminum one.. would it be that hard to make a nice billet piece of aluminum to fit over it that says whatever you like (LS1, 346cui, 5.7L, SS, WS6, etc..)??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
