Re: Pin on Hood
Sorry Tom, I didn't forget...just haven't had a chance to snap any good pics. Here are some bad ones though.
My hood is a VFN fiberglass extended hood, that has been modified to fit. I use dsuz fastners.
I have one bracket that surrounds my engine compartment. it has flat sides that line the fenders, and a bar across the front...and it actually is very light ( looks heavy though ).
here is a pic of the side part of the bracket.

You can see it is flat to help stabalize the hood
Here is a pic showing the bar across the nose for the dsuz fastners to snap into.
<img src="http://xs-fx.com/pain/formula_pics/2.jpg" alt=" - " />
The hood stays amazingly stable at 130+ mph
Top view of the hood on the car
<img src="http://xs-fx.com/pain/formula_pics/3.jpg" alt=" - " />
another view of the nose part of the bracket...notice I have removed all the hood latch assembly, and cut the support for a new mod I just did
<img src="http://xs-fx.com/pain/formula_pics/4.jpg" alt=" - " />
here's that newer mod
<img src="http://xs-fx.com/pain/formula_pics/5.jpg" alt=" - " />
and with the hood off
<img src="http://xs-fx.com/pain/formula_pics/6.jpg" alt=" - " />
hope that helps
Larry
