I believe the LT1 mirrors were blue tinged and the LS1 mirrors are untinted or just a warmer tone. You can swap the mirror itself. Just go to a junkyard that has a 98 or 99+ F-body (not sure if 98's had blue mirrors or clear mirrors, but my '99 had clear mirrors).

yep. i've owned 2 97 T/A's and they all seem to have a slightly bluish tint on the mirrors. i like it

My 95 TA has the tint too, but its pitted and looks awful. Is it removable?

Yes. You can just pop it out, or unscrew/unbolt the whole motor assembly from within the housing.

i'm wondering if this is the reason why i always get blinded by cars behind me at night time cause this damn blue tint!! there are water spots and it looks horrible
