Gauage bezel

Do you have to drop the column to get the gauge bezel out? I haven't done this since 2001 and have forgotten.

Pull the lever and pull the wheel down as far as you can. Then you just have to play with it

Just drop the column. It's a couple bolts and will literally take 2 mins and make the job 10x easier.

I just dropped the column, by the way it is 4 bolts. 2 bolts for the panel mount and 2 for the column.

Wow seriously? I never knew that!! Could someone provide pics to make it idiot proof!? I have scratched my lense a few times and it pisses me off lol!

T/As & Birds can do the removal without dropping the column. Camaros need to drop the column to reduce chances of damaging the gauge cluster. . . .

I've been trying on my T/A and it's been a huge PITA. Granted, I didn't try for a really long time, but I didn't want to risk cracking anything. And not trying to hijack, but how to you remove the switch for the foglights? I can't really see it clearly and don't want to just yank. Does it just have a clip? I might just do the column drop method though.
