i'm probably gonna try this. i've like the aggressiveness of the ws6 of the hood. but i don't like the bar, hence why i have a firehawk hood right now. but i want something taller. i'm gonna go to the parts warehouse tomorrow, and check out the "ram air" hood they have and make sure its the ws6 hood. its pretty cheap so i'll probably get it

Thats what I thought. I knew they didn't on the 4th gens cause that would have been something like 70% of them. ASC also did the 3rd gen verts, right?

Dont be silly. There wasnt a real ws1 EVER. That is just an SLP H.O hood. they dont make it anymore tho. A few members on here have them

What about a firehawk hood? Then you get heat extractors too. I think you'd need the front clip though.

But a OEM WS6 hood could probably get a good amount of cash to offset the money needed for the new hood. Might be cheaper than modifying your hood. But might be more expensive, lol.

And iirc, SLP made Firehawks, and ASC made WS6s.

Good luck in your search/modding. I am sure you can find some damaged WS6/WS9 hoods if you ask around in the 'tech classifieds. The hood will probably have to be pin-on due to the latching mechanism and mounting points being absent.

The Raptor hood is styled after a Firehawk hood, and the nostrils still aren't as big or pronounced as a WS6/WS9 hood. The Firehawk hood is pretty much a Raptor hood with smaller nostrils, where the bridge of the "nose" sits flush with a Firehawk bumper rather than on top of the stock bumper like a Raptor.

You need to stop posting here. That, or keep digging your hole.
Everything you have posted in this thread is either not true or not accurate. The pictured hood is not an SLP H.O. hood - and if it was, you could still easily find them listed for sale on numerous websites.
That is really all I have to say to you.

The corners are too rounded to be an HO hood. I have an HO hood on my car and it's pretty boxy.

lol, you owned yourself by posting those 2 pics. You can tell those hoods are different. The H.O. hood is more boxy looking like someone else already posted.Plus the middle section is different also! The big pic you can see that the hood is more rounded. LOL

Compare the openings. The SLP H.O. has more squared off square nostrils, and a huge bottom nostril surface. The "WS1" car has more angled nostrils, slightly wider "humps", and no bottom surface to the nostrils. In addition, the SLP H.O. hood scoops are taller, and the openings are placed higher as well.

I admit. I was wrong - they are discontinued. A few websites still list them for sale though even though they shouldn't. You can always find them for sale on Tech, and I even know a guy who is trying to get rid of his.
