HELP! how to change windshield?

HELP! how to change windshield? Sorry this is not about my T/a, but I just bought an S10 and need to change the windshield.
How do I get it out? (don't people use a guitar string or something?) how do you get the string on the inside and outsideof the windshield?
what materials are needed to install a new one?
I found one at a local junkyard that if I remove I can get for $30! so hopefully I can go remove that one and save $$.
tips for installing the one I buy at the junkyard?
