4x4 Jamboree isn't nearly what it used to be thanks to the Bloom police shutting down the parade and handing out tickets as fast as they can. I won't be around this year as a bunch of us from our local club are heading to NY for a cruise through the Hudson river valley.

Nice truck, and it's pretty clean for a show truck built in '88. I'm glad he resisted the tempation to do the 8 shocks per wheel and 20 chrome KC Daylighters on a double/tripple bedbar.

I just remember the show trucks I used to see in the 4wd mags when I was a kid in the 80's. Gross!

I love that vintage GM truck though, I had one in the mid 90's when I was in high school. It was a '73 Cheyenne shortbed, looked just like that one except for a few differences.

I got rid of all the trim, and added the 80's style mirrors like what are on your uncle's truck, and shot it in desert tan primer (I couldn't afford to paint it, and the body work wasn't exactly proffesional, if you know what I mean). Mine was lifted 4" with 35" Mud Kings, and had a .030 over 4-bolt 350 /TH350/NP205 combo. I found out later the NP205/TH350 combo was very rare for a '73. Later on I addedflat back racing stripes to it, I got bored one day.

Mine was more of a beater, I took it on trails and used it as a DD till I got my first F-Body.

I love the lines of those trucks, they still look good today IMO. When I had mine, I often thought that the styling of that truck must have blown people away when they came out in '73, especially compared to what Ford and Dodge had at that time.

Great looking Z, too, I love the color/stance/wheels!

I love your car. Between the rims, drop, and hood, it looks amazing. What springs do you have on it? Also, what emblems do you have? Are they stock with vinyl overlays, or are they just an aftermarket emblem? I'm looking to get rid of my polished ones because I'm putting machined face wheels on my car, and something like these would go with them a lot better than the polished.

THANKS!
the springs were on it when i bought it, so i'm not 100% sure.. sorry!
i covered the emblems with silver vinyl that i got from shop temporarily, because the previous owner painted them, and they looked terrible.. i have stainless emblems for it, but i am waiting until it gets painted to put them on.
