Using a Porter Cable outside?

Using a Porter Cable outside? I just received my new 7424XP last week and am getting really excited to start on it. The main problem, however, is that I don't have a garage to work in. I'm working on my fiance's Ford Focus, not my TA (if that means anything 
), so I'm not as worried.
I already have a nice little spot that I can park it where it's in the shade for 3+ hours in the day, right after washing. I'm sure that keeping it out of the sun is the main concern. So, how will it effect my work?

Just make sure the surface of the paint isnt hot and you should be fine. I think the Adam's line of products is ok to use in the sun though, but if your gf's car has heavy swirls the Adam's stuff prob won't cut it. Other main concern is debris on the paint from being outside, like dust, pollen, sand ... if any of that gets caught under the pad and you dont notice it in time, you're screwed and will prob have to redo whatever section you just did.
Work in the shade as much as possible. I have worked in the sun with no problems, but obviously shade or a garage is better. I don't know anything about the DC summers, but South Texas summers are rough. Not sure which products you are using, but most will work better in the shade. Wind is another story. Liked stated above, any sand, etc blown onto the vehicle is no good. I have a pop up canopy that has sides that I use if needed.
