duffster really how gayyy is your avatar ... 99.8% of PEOPLE IN AMERICA THAT WEAR TURBANS ARE NOT MUSLIMS. THEY ARE SIKHS, SIKHS AND MUSLIMS HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS. sikhs believe in the equality of all people no matter gender race religion or beliefs. you want to hate obama, hell be my guest but putting a turban on him just gives the average americans a bad impression of people with turbans. i can tell that is not a islamic style turban either but is a sikh style turban that originates from northern india.

wow I disappear for a few days to have a kid and this thread got out of control!!
I just used some pretty generic 5mm LEDs. I have about 2V going to them for at their brightest. You could probably get some 12V LEDs so you can just use battery power. The circuit for my set up likes low voltage...

Uhh, the subject here is about rear panels that light up. . .not my avatar. I won't change it because ONE individual dislikes it and feels Obama is steering us in the right direction, unless he feels the direction we need to go is HELL.
IF my reading is right, this is the 4th tail panel which lights up and each person does it differently. This guy uses LEDS. . .LOTS of LEDs. #1 didn't fully cut the letters A & O, #2 used neon because he was too lazy to do LEDs and the third I don't remember anything special about. It takes alot of work to make them different and that is what was accomplished here. Respect the guys thread. Personal issues are to be taken up personally. Stop trolling.

Everything is completely hand made... I hand Dremeled out the front and rear letters. And then put in a matrix of LEDs behind the panels. 275 LEDs hand soldered for the rear panel! I will try to dig up some pictures of different parts of the project.
I have gotten several requests for kits... I'll have to think about if that is even possible. I have LOTS of hours in making just this one set up.
