i think that might be due to the LMC truck housing. i noticed it has a bluish ting to either the lens or the backing.

Yea thats probably it because my fogs look like yours. I have the lmc housings also but havent put the HIDs in yet, just in the fogs.

Install is VERY simple. For the housings, just raise your headlights, remove headlight bezel, remove the stock housing, and install the lmc housing.

Once you do that, the HID kit is all plug and play.

I did this awhile ago, with the lmc housings, I'm very satisfied with the cut-off and output, 35w 6000k

I'm just concerned with the fog housings now after 7 months of hid use, I now try not to have them on always, it's starting to melt in the centers, and gets slightly worse over time, it's 35w 6000k for the fogs as well, both kits from DDM, I think it's because the bulb is super long and gets really close to center/inside of the housing.

I suppose I can find alternate glass housings down the road.

I did mine from the top without removing anything. Its a PITA as theres not much room to work with. I believe you can remove a couple access panels under the bumper to get easier access.

So, is it necessary to buy 2 different HID kits if you're changing the low beams AND the fog lights? Like do you buy 1 kit for $40 for the Low Beams, and then another kit for the fog lights? Does each bulb need its own HID Ballast or can you run 2 different bulbs from the same ballast?

Yes, you need one set for the low beams and one set for the fogs. Each bulb runs off it's own ballast. The kits will come with two bulbs and two ballasts.

Question lmc housing ?

i just got LMC housing (part #36-0302) and the h7 hid kit. but the bulb do not fit in the housing, seems like the base of the bulb is too big to fit in the housing. Is anyone else has this problem,,,I am confused ..

Wrong bulb, the LMC housing uses the 9005/9006 bulbs
