Default Going to install 6LE Gauges

So I'm finally going to put in the overlay that I got a long time ago.... Are there any good write ups on how to get the needles calibrated again? That's my only worry and it's a big one!!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Its really not that bad warm the car up to operating temp. then just mark the needle position on paper before you take them off. To get the needles off just use a fork. When you go back to installing the cluster just put the needle on where you think they go then install the cluster without the clear plastic get the car all warmed up again and then you can adjust them to get them to match perfectly to your markings while the gauges are still in the car. When your done just pop the clear plastic cover on and tighten done the 4 7mm screws. I used a GPS to get my mph perfect.

Fire hawk is right....it's just that easy!! and like sweetbmxrider said, if you can plug into HP tuners or something, then you'll be even MORE correct, lol.

But it 's pretty easy to install the gauges, Mark, 6LE, did mine at Bobs' big boy in about 10 minutes....and that was all 3 of them!

Goodluck! and post pics after!...or since you're doing it, do a nice little write up!

You do have to remove it all. It just pulls after you get all the screws out. It's really not THAT big of a deal. I pulled my cluster out to install my older overlays and i did it all in 1 hours....and that was being real slow and timid.

I just installed mine today. Pretty easy, but does anyone else think they are a bit dimmer than the factory piece?

Is it easy to make sure the overlay lined up right or is it a pain in the *** since it's so big? Any good technique?

That part you can't mess up... There are guide pins on the cluster and holes for it on the overlay

Hell yes they are Factory bulbs suck! Unfortunately for peeps with factory bulbs, these were designed with LEDs in mind (has to do with the layers and filtration) or at the very least better bulbs (factory is yellow!)...
