Default painted calipers

i just painted my back calipers for now
so... what do you think, hate em love em????

i know the rotors are rusty, drilled and slotted soon to come

Looks better than some jobs ive seen. Looks like you cleaned em up nicely. Did you take them off the car i.e. brakelines?

no i left them on and taped everything up
sprayed em with aluminum wheel acid first and that got them nice and clean i thought about leaving them after i cleaned them

Looks good, would like to mine sometime in the near future.

Is there a write up somewhere for how to take these off the car? The one on here has them being left on. Install university shows how to start taking them off, but leaves them hanging with break lines still on. Maybe this is stupid, but I just don't know how to do it and don't want to screw it up :-p

thanks now just waiting for tires tomorrow to go on my ss 10 spokes


im not sure if there is a thread on taking them off the car, but i just left them on and made sure everything was taped up really good and i cleaned them first with aluminum wheel acid, makes them turn a little white but def cleans them

You know I did mine over the winter and I also left them on the car. This spring when I clay bared the car I got red residue off from over spray. If I ever redo them they will most likely come off the car. Just something for you guys to think about. I also used drop clothe on the car to cover fenders and door.

i was a little worried about how the camaro decal would come out on lt1 front calipers but it fit alright
