Default How do I make my calipers really shine after polishing?

They look 1000x better (sory no pics yet) than they did stock! Thanks to the guy on this page who motivated me to even try <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

My question is how can I take the shine one step further than where mine are now? What I mean is I have no visable scratches in the caliper, I went as high up as 400 grit paper and hit it with a steel brush on the dremmel tool. I noticed that adding a drop of oil first helped a little, but when all is said, done, and washed off... I have some parts that are real shinny, but others which are sort of dull. What final step am I missing?

Tripoli compound available at home depot and a cotton wheel attachment for a drill. Put that one and buff. Check this resource out for info: http://www.bambeezer.com/formula/calipers.htm

I have also heard good things about this metal polisher, that it really shines everything up extremely well and i have seen pics of it used aswell. Made the ac condenser shine like chrome with just putting it on. Haven't ordered/used it myself yet. http://www.daytonanow.net/sshine/metalpolish.html
