Default Prepping Speaker Grills for Painting???

Okay guys, I am gonna paint my speaker grills this weekend and needed to know if just using a scuffing pad will be fine since I cant get into all the holes to sand? Thanks!

The pad will work just fine, I would primer (self etching primer) first but I know some guys don't. Good luck with your project.

Thanks, where can I get the self etching primer?? I got my paint from Kragens, would they have this kind of primer, ro should I try another store? Thanks!
