I don't think so. If you paint the reflector it's going to affect how much light will shine. On the Camaro headlights you paint like the front of the housing, which doesn't reflect any light anyway.

I could be wrong though.

Even with HIDs it wont work, the reflective property of the housing focuses the light forward. If it was black it would dramaticaly cut down on the light out put. You would be better off with blackouts.

I don't think anyone uses their fog lights to actually see at night(atleast i don't). IMO i think it would probably look good and would be something new and different. Is anyone does try it, make sure to post pics. And my the way, 97ram, i love your 02 SOM....wanna trade? HAHA

the gs creations black out kit includes acrylic tinted covers that don't affect light output.

Actually lol. I had to do that about a month and a half ago. Both of my headlights blew out and I had to drive 30 miles home with just my fogs... could have used my brights but I figured that was more of a reason to get pulled over than just my fogs. It worked tho, they give off like the minimum amount of light that you need to be able see on a clear night. Im not saying it was fun tho lol.

Well, that sucks. But with that being said, your car is black,so i dont think painting the inside of the fog housing black would have an effect on light output. My car is pewter and i will get the ceta mod sooner or later and think that this might be a good supporting appearance mod for that. not sure though. I would mock it up with some washable paint before i tried it for real and would love to see pics if anyone has done this already. Sorry about the hijack OP

What does the color of his car have to do with the light output? If he paints over the reflector, there won't be much output at all. It doesn't matter what color his car is.

i just realized. I'm thinking of the angel eye mod, not the whister mod. Painting the the housing on the bumper, not the actual inside of the light. My bad for the confusion. Still think it might look good....haha

LOL....no wonder what you said didnt make sense. But thats not angle eyes either...angle eyes are the little glowing rings inside the headlights like a BMW has.
