I bought a RK sports SS hood but there is no grill insert. Do i have to buy the RK Sports one or will one from a regular SS hood fit? Thank You

 

A friend of mine had the RK sport SS hood. It was crap in my opinion. The scoop is not quite right. The insert RK sports has goes on the outside and does ot look like the OEM SS scoop at all. His hood also cracked across the center.

 

Car I was talking about. Scoop vent sat at an angle too, not straight up like the Factory one.


My car is an SS, so maybe I'm a little biase

 

thanks i might not even put a insert in yet ill just paint it black. I only bought the hood cause i got a good deal from someone.

 

I would definitly put the insert in. The hood will look a lot worse without it.

 

I might go to the hardware store tomorrow and pick up some honeycomb mesh and design my own insert.
