Default Trans Am door emblems

Is it possible to take off the "TRANS AM" emblems on the lower part of the doors to paint them? If so how do you do it and is it easy to get them back on??

I've never done it but:

Yes, it can be done no problem. I believe it's fairly simple to do...most people use fishing line.

You'll have to put new adhesive on the back, and will be time consuming to put back on evenly spaced.

They should come off with ease, heat them with a heat gun and peel them off. They should be held on by the 3m tape or whatever.

Yes, you can use fishing line, or other similar products to remove the old emblems. Then Goo-Gone or similar product to remove any leftover glue on the car.
If you plan on re-using them, you'll need some good replacement 3M double-sided emblem applicaiton tape on the back of them.

You can maybe buy complete replacements emblems from your dealer?
For instance, if you have a white car & want black emblems, buy the standard black ones from the black cars. Etc., etc.
If you want to put them back on in the same place, it may be wise to place some layout tape on the car door before you remove the old ones.
Or use some good photos with measurements for reference.

From time to time you can find sets of them on ebay. Just bid on the color you want.

Personaly I think overlays in the color you want look better than the whole emblem being a contrasting color.
