Obviously this is just my personal opinion, but I do not understand the point. I agree with people putting SS hoods & spoilers on their cars since it looks substantially better. Those people are not trying to clone an SS - rather, they are just using components to upgrade the appearance of their car.

It is the people that go the step further and put SS badges on a Z28 (or coupe) that bother me. I do not understand the point. It is a negligible aesthetic modification. That being the case, it suggests the only reason they are doing it is to fool other people into believing their vehicle is something that it's not. I can't see any point to doing this. Does it make it look better? No. Does it make it more desirable? No.

If you're referring to me, I don't own a Trans Am; it's a Formula.

And again, I have no problem with people putting parts on their car from an upgraded model or another vehicle. I've never claimed that my car is a Corvette or a Z06.

An OEM SS hood will fit BEST, but if you not too picky like I am then go with the Ultra-z hood because it is pretty unique...

Will admit..ultra Z looks awesome on that car..I like this pic.. but i love the sunoco without the line

I like it because it is different and you dont see them everyday. There are better hoods than the run of the mill SS hood everybody puts on there car. Thats just me though. I dont want to copy another car that I dont have ya know. If I didnt have this hood I would get a sunoco hood and SS spoiler. Now that looks SICK!

Ultra Z, cause your car isn't an SS. Those are called clones, Ultra Z at least makes it custom.

i'm puttin the acloa z06 rims on my car also but like you said i'm not passing it off as a vette
