Default WS6 Interior opinions

Went to a carshow over the weekend and just got to thinking. Been kinda wanting an old school hurst chrome shifter "stick" and white ball shifter. And thought about what it would look like with an old school muscle steering wheel with the wood ring. Keep it a small 14" wheel, billet center, but like the '67-8-9 TA's have the wood ring. Just thought I'd toss that out there to see what yall thought. On my '00 Z28 I use to have, I put a nice leather wrapped lecarra billet wheel on, and loved it. Anyways. I'll try to find a couple pics to show what I'm talking about... Cool or retarded??

Chris

EDIT: Couple pics:

69 wheel

I found this when browsing around Brangeta's site the other day, it's kind of similar to what you are talking about.

A little too cheesy, or "pep boys" for me. Would rather it be a nice quality, complete wheel. Still don't know if I'd like it or not. The rest of the interior minus the shifter/****, would most likely remain original.

Chris

EDIT: Here's a picture of it now. Sorry for the crappy phone pic...

Honestly, I think an old school steering wheel will just look awkward in the interior. You'd have to do more than a steering wheel and shifter **** to pull it off, in my opinion.

Yea, that's what I'm thinking. Just trying to give the car alittle personality, the whole "100% stock 36K mile" thing was cool for alittle... It will be getting a cam/headers installed soon, so that might help. Was just looking for something alittle different, and I thought about maybe going that route with it. But just keeping it low-key, no emblems and whatnot. Just a wheel and stick/****. lol. Figured most car guys would understand what I was going for.

There's sooooo much you can do with a Trans Am interior and still keep a nice, modern look.
