Finally got around to snapping a few more pics. I tried to get some illumination shots with the garage door closed...
Oh, and don't mind the trim around the gauge in the far left side, doing some work on it.
Enjoy !

I did swap them to blue at first (I have plenty of LED bulbs) but I switched it back because I like the way the factory blubs look through the overlay for those lower gauges. I can always switch it back out later too...

Rob, just finally checking my ls1tech mail...Man, yours look even better in real life than the rendering. I think blue is the best color to do these in.

Wanna still know how i did my shifter overlay? Also, the LED bulbs i installed Friday night with Mark look AMAZING in my car too!! I used the ones from superbrightleds.com, do your LEDS dim with the dimmer switch as well? Mine do.

Did you clear over yours like the instructions suggested, or did you just install them as they came?

I like that blue Rob, where did you get the leds and which ones did you go with if you don't mind me asking. I have some leds on the way that I am going to try out but they are kind of for a different project (unless I like them, lol). Pm me if it isn't a sponsor if you don't mind.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone, I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.

I wiped on a coat of Formula 303 UV protectant onto all the overlays to protect them from fading.

Also, the gauge LED bulbs I got from superbrightleds.com, the door LEDs and resistors I got from a LED sponsor here a while back, not sure if LED Mark is still a sponsor here...

I basically just replaced the door illumination with a blue LED and resistor, put the LED in the little square factory bulb location and used some "plumbing goop" glue to adhere it to the door panel from the back.

You can use these LEDs for the doors they are plug and play and are much brighter then the old blubs. The old bulbs are hard to get out and will most likely break, but you will be much happier with these anyways. The from superbrightleds

For the overlays and A4 gear indicators, you want to use a "360 degree beam" bulb/LED. For the doors you can get away with 100 degrees since you only need the light going in one direction.

Got my overlay installed and needles all adjusted... was going to put the lens back on and dropped it on the garage floor..scratched the hell out of it... to point where it will need to be replaced...

Well ordered up one and just waiting for it to get here... in the mean time, here is a pick without the lens and in the dark... better ones during the day and with the new lens hopefully during the week...

Did you replace any other lights in the dash with the LED's? Like the HVAC and the headlight control areas?

I didn't use an LED bulb, I used an actual LED and resistor for the doors - I cut off the whole connector and soldered in the LED and resistor, and heat shrinked the connections, then used plumbing goop glue to adhere it to the door panel so it stays in the right spot. If the LED is too bright you can push it back into the hole a little bit.
