Default lt1 hid question
I've been looking at all the threads about putting hids in stock housings. And one thing I've been confused about is does this install require an hid kit wit the ballast and everything? Or just simply the bulb?

Ok thanx. Would you happen to know how to install the ballast and all that crap. And does it require stripping any wires?

IIRC, 9006 for Camaro's and I had to change my Firebird housings to projector style H4's

most kits are plug and play, and the ballasts have double sided tape.

yea just get a 9006 kit and silicone the bulbs into the stock housing. Wiring harness and ballasts are all plug and play.

speedinc has a full hid conversion kit with houseings for lt1 camaros for $200. mine should be shipped this week.

$199 is for the complete kit shipped within the Cont. US

+1... kit is low beams only... so new low beam housings and 15 yr old high beam housings...
