How do I get the actual GM paint code for my car?

How do I get the actual GM paint code for my car? It's a 2000 Bright Rally Red SS. The option code is 81U I believe. I looked in my glovebox, on the door, in the hatchwell, in the enginebay, on the sticker, nothing.
Can I get the code or maybe look it up with my VIN?

Re: How do I get the actual GM paint code for my car? If I'm correct, the option code is the paint code.
I ordered a few cans of the spray paint to match my car (pewter metallic) and the gm paint code was the same as the option code.
My suggestion is just call or go to a gm dealer and ask them. They should have a chart cross referencing the year, codes and names of the available colors.
