I love Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish. You can find it at any auto store

Wow I think I found someone as bad as me about cleaning **** lol.. Looks much better..I clean it then I look at it and take it off and paint it lol

Yeah its called a solvent sprayer LOL. Solvent is the best way to clean parts but you have to be careful, lets just say its very flammable. One time I was using a cutting torch to get off a seized bearing on an axle, and I let the axle cool down for a few minutes and put it in our solvent tank and KABOOM! haha be careful, make sure the car is cool before you spray solvent. They make an attachment for an air compressor with a can of solvent, its great for cleaning. Evil that steering rack is the ****!

+1 for mothers mag and alum polish, its very good stuff. I use a combo of #00 grade steel wool, white jewels rouge compound with a buffing bad, and then mothers polish. The results are amazing, like looking through a mirror.
