Wire! mod question
Wire! mod question Hey guys, I've been thinking about hiding my wires for the PCM under the wheel well like many of you but my front tires rub when turned in or out. Is it safe to do this or would the wires get crushed?
You will be fine just tuck them up nice and put fender well back in.. I wrapped the connections in electrical tape on mine for extra protection, just in case.
Unless the TOP of your wheel rubs up against your well on that black mud guard or whatever it's called, you will be fine. The wires tuck up in between the black thing and the wheel well.
Where are you using tape and/or velcro?

ack up the car on the front right.. take the fender well out and wheel off.. take your circular hole cutter thing or whatever the hell it is called and drill your hole.. run your wires through the hole and to the other side.. wrap connectors with electrical tape.. use zip ties to hold them up.. not sure if there is pre drilled holes there or not (been a while since i have had to do it on a car i had).. if not drill two very small holes in a non noticeable spot (up against the body not right on the hump) and zip tie them there.. put fender well back on.

I depinned the wires from the connectors on mine. So I wouldn't have to make a huge hole. It's time consuming, but I think it looks nicer. Then I used duct tape to hold the wires up. Before I repainted mine, I welded all the extra holes shut.
