!Wire mod done.. pics inside!
The goal was to rid the engine area of the unsightly wire loom on the passengers side tower, I thought of hiding it with a cover but came up with the idea of routing inside the fender.. Rob and I hashed out the details and the total project took around 5 hours. Eventually we will set up a complete "how to" guide for anyone else that wants to try this <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
One surprise.. there is a vacume line running in the wire loom.. what the heck is that for?? Rob is going to consult his helms manual to find out. strange.. Ok, so here are the pics:

I think it looks MUCH cleaner now.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Thanks again for the help Rob!

Yep.. all you have to do is cut the wires like this:

JUST KIDDING!!! lol... The important thing is to do ONE set at a time.. some marking wires when you have duplicate colors.. PATIENCE is the key! You wouldnt want your horn to honk when you go to change lanes <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Here is where we drilled the hole:

First set of wires going through the gromet.. notice heat shrink.. When all is done the entire loom will be wrapped in electrical tape..

Here it is from the other side we made the wire extension about 2 feet but you could get away with 16 inches or so.. we also used 16 guage wire for all but one wire..

I will post more pics tomorrow..
So the only MOD was extending the wire loom to make it long enough and drilling the hole.. it all looks quite factory with convo tube on it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
<img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
<img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
Hat's off to you both. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
cheers!
<strong>I don't know why you bothered to go through all that trouble. All you had to do was put a bunch of red convoluted tubing on everything for an instant show car appearance. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Damn! NOW YOU TELL ME!!!!
BTW the whole mod cost about $30 to do.. with enough materials left over to do another car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
The convo would have been cheaper too! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> lol
