And yes, the LS1 needles are a molded redish neon plastic. Not clear plastic. I'm designing needles to replace the stock ones in clear and different colors and transfer light a bit better....and that way the gauge area can be even more custom for show cars... or to match interiors better.
btw, I'm working on LT1 needles as well. LS1 and LT1 needles are not interchangable.
I'm making the needles from scratch. I've got the molds made and templates all done. Now I just need to get them on cars to do a few road tests.
