I know that this is an old thread.
I'm planning on doing this mod soon and I was wondering how long the black coat lasts? I would love to hear from those of you who have done this and how the black coating has held up over time.
If it only lasts a year, might not be worth it to me. I'm really looking for a long term solution.

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Detailer.
It brings back the plastic just like original condition and in a garage like mine is, I can get 2 to 3 months time driving before I use it again.
