heres all the camaro paint codes and colors with pics http://brangeta.googlepages.com/4thg...arohistory2222
then i run RPO codes, and it comes back as "Medium Red Metallic"
The OP's car says "Monterey Maroon Metallic", and my car doesn't look anything close to that color.. If I recall, my paint was not available on the z28/ss in 2002 only on the v6 models....At least that's what I have been told. So far its held true as I haven't seen another z28 with my color paint..
now it does look "close" to this http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...28-20miles.jpg
And the pic says 02 z28 so apparently I was told wrong, if this is "my color" but like I said, the code comes back Medium Red Pearl Metallic...
so I guess its the same color that people are calling Montery Maroon, but that's not what the RPO code said, and not what the Paint shop told me the color was...

It's similar to how BMW has a Lemans Blue, as does Chevy, but the colors are nothing alike. For that matter, '69 Lemans Blue is nothing like the Lemans Blue used on ~2004 Corvettes.
Pontiac used a few different names for the same paint colors used on Camaros as well. I don't know them all, but I believe they called Dark Purple Metallic "Cyclamen Metallic" for example. Medium Red Metallic could be a Pontiac name, but it's likely a PPG name.
