How do you get the mirrors to stick under the hood without falling off and rattling? It would seem to me that velcro would suck and any glue would get re-melted from the engine heat.
Also, I have factory Vette covers. I know that I need to trim them to fit but I can't even fit them under the hood to see what I need to trim. I have a 2000 and it only has about an inch of clearance from the top of the engine to the underside of the cowl. I trial-fitted them on my buddy's 98 WS6 and I could actually lay them on top of his engine because he has about four inches of clearance. This kind of scares me because I'm doing a head and cam package next summer so I'll be in for a treat. Also, even if I did get them on, without any clearance, won't that retain alot of heat? That can't be good can it or do I have nothing to worry about?

Thanks for the Welcome Justin.

The mirrors are Mirrored Plexi with double sided emblem adhesive tape in 3 spots on each piece. Once I put them on they Haven't come off and that was over 4 months ago. The guy who makes the mirrors has had some on his car for over a year with no problems. Never one rattle.
Here is his site:

As far as the covers, I don't think there is too much to worry about as far as retaining heat. There is still enough room under them once on. Plus, Savage figured out a way to put them on with out cutting ANY of the cover. If you email him, he might be able to send you a copy of his 5 page instruction sheet. He also makes a custom Throttle Cable bracket so that you don't have to cut the covers.
Install took 1 hour 45 minutes, but knowing exactly now how to do it, I could probably get it done in less than an hour.
