Thanks Sam, we just chatted on the phone an hour or so about the alignment. Definitely would recommend Sam's springs, they give the perfect ride height for what I was looking for, anecdotally lighter then the SLP Eibachs I took off and made the car feel more confident especially on the on/off ramps I've tested. Finally got rid of the SLP Eibach rear sag look which just looks wrong on our cars to have the nose to the sky.

A reminder to check the build date on those tires Derek. I think BFG KDW's haven't been built in a long while. If they aren't dry rotted (and they might not be) they are most likely super hard. Tire rubber ages like pencil eraser rubber when exposed to air, ozone, UV. Once the release compound comes off the tire which helps protect them from that stuff, the clock is ticking.

Strano springs on mine too, fitted last year though. Much better than whatever had been fitted by the previous owner. Yellow Koni shocks all round and 19" rims with 275/30R19 front & rear.

Looks great. Any idea what was on there before? Like what color are the springs were or if they had any markings that might have distinguished them? Usually pretty easy to find out what they were, and I always like to know to add to my internal database. Which in this case is my brain.

Here are the old springs, well rotted & rusted due to the lovely British weather we have here...

Any idea what make they might be?

Maybe somewhere under the grime where the powder coat hasn't chipped away there might be some numbers. That particular red color though narrows the field greatly.

There's a company that's around that makes them that uses that color. There used to be a company called dynamic Motorsport DMS that used red. And eibach sportline are also red but it's usually a little bit different shade and those rears don't really look to me to be wound the same way the Sport lines are.

If somebody held a gun to my head and I had to guess I would say they are probably DMS. That is simply based on looking at the spacing of the rear coils. They are stiffer than mine, you can tell that because they have fewer coils in the main rate. It doesn't totally exclude other companies, particularly one who claim they make the best spring. But then make three different springs. Maybe they're all the best I don't know?

Nonetheless. I'm glad you are happy with mine. 99% of people are. And I'm appreciative that you took the time to make the post.

They look like hotchkiss springs. I ran them for a very long time and liked them alot. They seemed like they were getting weak so I changed them to stranos. I had to cut my stranos....my car seemed to set high with them. I've put some weight back in the car since. Maybe I'll try another set sometime.

Now I'm on a cut z28 spring, koni sa with strano bars which seems to work pretty well for street driving.
