trying for two tone interior

trying for two tone interior HI there, fairly new to the site and ls1 cars for that matter. I have an SS with tan leather interior and would like to change up the interior to a black and tan look simliar to what came in the 35 anniversary ones.
Looked into re-upholstery but that was cost prohibitive and besides that would waste an interior which is in great condition as it is.
Has anyone ever dyed their leather from tan to black and could tell me how one goes about that successfully??
Would love to hear some stories and directions if anyone has pulled this off!
