yea my dad hates them too..... i just got tired of having huge honeycomb lights to me they look like huge bloodclots on the back of the car. even the new camaro has circle lights. but once i had it done it just didn't fit the car. the circle lights are for a more modest rear end not the bulky end of the TA. i did those last week and actually stripped all of it off today but having problem getting the very first coat of clearcoat off of them. any ideas??

wetsand to get the clear off. you are one of the few that hates the honeycombs, unfortunately your options are limited. if you keep the honeycombs, you can black those out and add honeycombs to the reverse lights. if you get LT1 lights, you can keep them the way you are, black those out or make them clear by removing the red film inside. the last resort are the V6 lights

I had the lights on my camaro blacked out for over a year when I decided to change the look. I used some 100 grit sand paper and that took it right off. Then went up to 320, to 600, to 1000 (I wetsanded these last 3 steps). and then clearcoated. They looked like I had never done anything to them

the problem to me is that the designs just doesnt fit well with the lights or the car. i think it would look okay if you vht'd the entire thing now, that way you can still have the design show through, but they will have the look of blackouts. im getting ready to do something like that with a set of lights i have laying around for my camaro.
but i am curious to know how you did the outlines to get such perfect circles?

stripped the paint, now trying to sand the rest of the residue off gonna take a while, then just going to black them out.
