get ready to hear a million different replies...
well, ill get this thing started. i really liked Zaino's car wash stuff, and i liked its smell too. but then i ran out of it, and i have since been using Armorall's ultra shine- wash and wax. works good to me, and leaves the car with a nice shine. the thing is, although ive used quite a few different soaps, there werent really any that i just didnt like- ie. a couple different Turtle brand soaps, dawn dish soap a couple times (but ive heard this can mess up the clear after a while), and some others ive tried. in the end, its just car wash soap.

None...... But then,my car is not a daily driver either. Have not washed my car in 3 yrs. and it shines better than most. Touch up when I get back from ride, lots of wax, california duster, car cover, and always garaged. I do wash the wheels and tires though. I use the cheapest I can get cause it's just the wheels. Old car collector once told me that water is what ages cars, and he had some vintage rides. But if I had to wash it, Zaino.

I'm happy with Meguiars gold class, but then again I haven't used anything else, but I think any soap made for washing cars will be just fine. You just don't want it to strip off protectants like wax and dry the paint out.

I buy this stuff by the gallon, its awesome! the guy in the video is a pro detailer out of Texas and well respected in the biz.

I currently use Gold Class, but will probably be trying out ONR in the near future. I've just heard a lot of praise for the No-Rinse and the job it does. Can also replace a quick detailer and clay bar solution. Granted, I've been very happy with the Gold Class soap. It does the job and smells pretty nice, too. Just curious as to how ONR does and the ease of being able to wash in your garage is pretty cool.

Actually the first thing I do is rinse off any sand or grit before I wash.
I also never go from the bottom of a panel and then back up to the top for the sake of minimizing fine scratches and swirls.

Another one for Turtle Wax Ice on a regular basis, Dawn Soap when I do a full Detail/Degrease. Probably try the Zaino or Tropi-care when I give my wife my B-Day Wish List.
Before I had my T/A I used to use the RainX Car Wash on my Truck - never left a water mark, always rinsed very clean but not real sudsy.
