Exactly...the less you have to touch the paint, the better. Plus it blows the water out of all the cracks and crevices that a towel just can't reach...I used to hate it when I just got done washing my car, drove it for a few minutes, and the back bumper was wet again from all of the water dripping out - it would inevitably spot, and look like ****. Same with the side mirrors, etc.

This looks way better than a leaf blower because it has a flexible hose that will be much easier to manipulate close to the car, it looks to be more powerful, and has a filter so that you don't pick up loose debris and shoot it at the paint on accident.

Mine just came today...pretty cool little piece of machinery.

Crappy pic, but you get the idea:

I turned on the first motor, and quickly said "holy ****." It puts out more air than my leaf blower currently does. I turned on the second motor, and had the same reaction. I can't wait to try it out on my cars/truck.

It does only roll in straight lines, but that might not be a bad thing so it won't go rolling into things you don't intend it to.

MeentSS02, how fast does the air come out- mph? based on what everyone's suggestions about using a leaf blower i went and picked up one a few days ago from Home Depot for $69- and puts out the air up to 235mph. i'm curious how fast the master blaster is, cause im still slightly considering one for the future, i really like the hose on it as opposed to the leaf blower- more versatility, although i havent tried mine out yet. when i do i'll probably pull the car in the garage so i dont irritate the neighbors or look like an ***.

I'm not sure how fast it comes out - that will end up being a function of the outlet size anyway. It just puts out a lot of volume - cfm-wise, I think it puts out around what a typical leaf blower does, but this felt way stronger than my current leaf blower.

I really bought it for the flexible hose though - as stated, it should be much more versatile and user friendly when it comes to drying my car.

We use a similar setup for grooming cattle.... It's a filter heated/ non heated blower... They are pricey but they last and most have adjustable speed...

Finally got a chance to use it today - it worked very well. There are definitely a few advantages to this over my old leaf blower:

1. WAY quieter - just sounds like an overgrown vacuum cleaner
2. The flexible hose - much easier to point the air right where you want it
3. It definitely warms the air coming out - not a lot, but it was nice since it was in the low 50s when I was using it.
4. The wheels - the canister sits on 4 fixed wheels (none of them turn), and it was really nice to scoot it along wherever I needed it. Since the wheels don't turn, I didn't have to worry about running it into my car with an errant tug on the hose.

And that was with only running one motor.

It put out as much air as my old leaf blower did with just the one motor. I don't really see much need to turn the second motor on at the same time as the first, but I'll have to try it that way too. I have a feeling the hose will get a little squirrely at that point though.

^how long is the hose. i know you said the vacuum itself sits on the ground, so i was just curious if the hose was long enough to stretch up to be able to do the top of the car/t-tops and all? i'm trying to get all the real details from an actual owner. i'm still slightly considering one.

Those blowers are impressive. Some of the more expensive ones are amazing... I've been trying to get my hands on one for awhile, but they always go for a fairly high price...

The hose is 12ft long - I actually wash my car while it is on jack stands (wheels off to keep them from staining), and it was more than enough to reach the top of the car.

I do the same EXACT thing with my air compressor every time i wash my ride plus,,, to keep my CCW 505a's from spotting on me LOL But if you dont have an air compressor ide say yea depending on the price because ide never wash my ride again unless i had air LOL If its a few hundred ,,,then you might just awant to think about getting a compressor ,,,that way you can atleast get more use out of it then just drying your ride IMO
