Blackout headlight covers....

Blackout headlight covers.... so ive been running these things for the past year, and i cant see 3ft ahead of my car during night time. I bought the ultrastar low and high beams but i just wanted to know if anybody else has the same issue. I was thinking i had bad bulbs or headlights, but the bulbs are actually in good shape. The headlights ARE some taiwan or chinese crappy ones, but I want to find out if its just the standard to not see at all with the covers on.

i see, i just really dont like the way the car looks without them now. i dont know if i got a messed up pair but they dont even fit right, my paint right outside of the headlight is all messed up because they pop out and scratch it. guess im gonna have to buy some black halos.
not the case for me... I VHT'd my camaros headlights about 2 weeks ago and the times i have had to drive at night have been pretty bad, they show practically no light through, so i have to use high beams. i had a set of covers i got for free a few years ago, put them on for a day just to see how they looked, and when i tried to drive with them at night i had the same issue as you, and what i'm dealing with now. brighter bulbs will make it a little better, but the covers/vht will still restrict a lot of light
