That's it? Just kidding. I'm sure 750rwhp, with a 3.08 rear gear makes for one hell of a highway hitter.

Haha, yea, hopefully! I don't need anything too ridiculous (1000RWHP+) just something that I can have some fun with .

That's what you say now...you know boost is VERY addicting! I can see this build getting very interesting

Looking forward to the progress threads/pics.

Thats awesome. Sounds like a really awesome platform. Just a few mods away from 800hp. I didn't realise how cheap you could pick those up these days, and I had no idea they were such a potent platform.

That shot at the dragstrip with the diagonal view of the side, and rear of the car is awesome.

WOW! Last time I looked into insurance on a Viper (this was a few years back), they were extremely high. Thats awesome it is that cheep for full coverage.

Honestly, I would probably lean towards the Turbo kit as well if Paxton is the best choice for supercharging it.

Whats the aftermarket like for clutches for those things? I am guessing the stock clutch won't hold up to that much power (even if the tranny and rear will).

Stock clutch is actually good to about 700RWHP.

I do, but you asked how much the stock clutch would hold . It'll get a twin disc in the summer.

Nice! Well, you definatly did your homework old chap. You've got yourself a car that looks like it costs $80,000 and would be really expensive to mod to the point of making fast.

Nothing better than having something seem that way, but in reality was the same price of an F-body new, and with the setup of factory forged internals and the powertrain being able to hold 700-800 RWHP, I'd say over all, it will be a bit cheeper than an F-body to make fast. I've got well over $50,000 invested in my Z, and even though it may be faster than most modded Vipers on the street, it will never get looks like your Viper will.

Awesome car dude!

Haha, yea I tried! I actually had an older guy come up to me when I was leaving a restaurant this weekend ask me about the car. He ended up asking what year and I told him and he was just in shock. He probably thought it was a super expensive car, he probably paid 20k MORE for his truck than I did for the car. All he said was 'good for you' smiled and went on his way.

I must say that is one very nice looking car, the track shots were great i think you could make a great sig out of the one showing the back of the car staging with the tree in the back ground

Very, very cool!

I think this is going to push me over the edge to sell the C5Z and racecar, I would love to have the looks that GTS' do as well as a measly 450hp on tap with simple exhaust mods.

Congrats! That's the exact car I would want if I was going to get a Viper.

Well I went to go eat today and I didn't want to try pulling a u'y going home from there, I ended up going the back way and cut through where I went to school and figured why not, take some pics.

Now my SLR has been dead since I got back from Europe and my charger is at the office so these were all taken with my iPhone, not the best quality, but you can at least get an idea for what it looks like lowered with the tint.

The car is a little dirty, but I wasn't really planning on taking pics. For reference, the tint is 35% on the windshield and 15% on the sides. Visually I think the outside is done until I get different wheels. I need clear corners on the front but they are very hard to find, either way, here you go:
