damm...thats a great job. i live some hours away too, im actually more interested in the "detailed cleaning" than the actual sanding/painting thing. you can wash and wash your car but no one ever has cleaned my car with a qtip or a small brush. god knows ill never do it. how about that? how much would that cost?

It depends on how in depth you are wanting. Something more basic without any polishing would be ~200 or so. Once you add in paint correction (buffing), it would be 300+. And then of course is the wetsanding and compounding and that gets very pricey.

When I saw the "how it was brought to me" pics, I honestly said aloud...There is no way. That car will have to have a paint job, that is just not fixable.

Well PROPS to you sir! That car looks fantastic.

Very impressive result from something that didn't look like it had a chance of being saved. I hope the owner got a hell of a deal on the body for all the damage it had, and all the work it needed.

so inspiring! my TA really needs some detailing work. now i know what to ask for for christmas haha. funny thing is my car is a navy blue metallic sleek beak, lowered, with those same wheels waiting to go on, and i've been thinking about removing the door lettering. unfortunately i wasn't able to find any pictures of those setups. now i have a few hundred. thanks!

My camaro almost looked that bad when i bought it, we used menzerna power gloss, sip, then ff105 and some hand poured carnauba to finish. The only problem is now the clear is soft so it scratches very easily. The car looks awesome, I hope the owner is very happy with the outcome. It is much cheaper to try and just clean up the car versus trying to paint the whole car especially with the metallic.

dude. i am in awe everytime i open one of your detailing threads. this one is just straight up eye sex. that car looks amazing. seeing darker colors look that good makes me want to smack myself in the head for not painting my car a darker color. no matter how much time, cleaning, buffing, waxing my car...it's still just a bright *** white car...

This is absolutely the best detailing thread that I have ever seen!!!

I frequent probably well over a hand full of car forums and this is by far the best work I have seen.

Absolutely amazing! This is now inspiring me to !demolding my sides on my TA.

BTW what springs did the owner put on there? Sits awesome!

i'm waiting for somebody to quote the pics

sad part is, my NBM paint is almost as bad as that... it's been DD'd since i bought it 5 years ago, and i just bought a new DD about a month ago, so the TA is now in the garage getting resto'd. I started thinking about looking into getting this treatment done by a professional, until i saw that this job was well into the 4 digits
