When you prime it, and then sand, do you need to prime it again? or move on to the paint?

move to pant, as long as you don't sand all of the primer off. And just make sure you clean before you paint. Go get some degreaser from a paint supply store, or some alcohol. If not the paint may fish eye.

Well I primed it, and it isn't COMLETELY smooth, but I am facing reality and using a sanding block by hand I will never get that thing smoother, so Im gonna wait for a bit and throw on the paint.

I threw down the first coat of paint and I worked my *** off sanding that piece, and went I sprayed the primer it was smoother, but not like perfect. I went ahead and sprayed the paint, and its not what I expected.....I probably should have sanded after priming but I don't have any time for that. Yesterday and today are my only days off.

Hopefully with 2 more coats and some clear it will come out looking nice.

Well. It's done. But I went out side to use my table grinder to shorten my antenna, and there was a feather or dust on the grille so I blew it off, and since its cold out, my breathe showed up on the grille like it does on windows, and then went away quickly.

Do you think that messed up the paint?

breathing on it shouldnt have hurt it. just let it dry good and check it out.

so you did it with the grill still on the car? i thought you removed it. and you painted outside? i hope you dont get dust and crap all in the paint, especially little insects. for some reason they love to fly right into fresh paint.

No, i painted it inside my garage with the doors open for venting. It doesn't look like anything got in the paint.
